Malta’s own Human Safari steers back to R&S with the paced-up, urgent forms of ‘Children Of The Sea’, following his 2023 debut Sax Paradiso and multiplying his take on uptempo, jazz-sided techno. The A-side, comprising the title track and ‘Jazz Affair’, is an untripped live wire, tapping street soul strings and blink-and-you-miss-em vocal belts, thus establishing this as one of R&S’ slinkier and less trancey grooves. On the flip, ‘Turbulence At The Orchestra’ channels 90s warehouse paranoia – spiralling 303 lines, loose rave-report vocal snippets – while closer ‘Lido’ rides a deeper groove, threading Latin-leaning rhythmic details through reverberant brass.
