Clone West Coast Series has always led the way when it comes to archive releases that shine a deserving light on electro pioneers. Vapourware founder and a Strasbourg artist dynArec is one of those as the last 20 years of releases have shown. Some of them now make the cut on this second collection of gems from his vaults. ‘Audition Me’ comes in two quite different parts, both with their own edgy brand of machine funk. There’s a gorgeous array of hardware and synth textures on display in the urgent grooves but radiant chords of ‘From The Island’, while ‘Lagomorph’ has had one too many energy drinks and will make your eyes vibrate as a result. There is great beauty in these dystopian future jams.
