UK steppas artist Joe Yorke first came under wide renown for his unique falsetto voice. The artist now presents his latest single, ‘Rocking Ship/Wrecking Ship’ – it’s a collaboration with Yaksha, an upcoming UK dub producer, an also contains a dub mix by Alpha Steppa, the founder of its parent label Steppas Records and a renowned dub artist in his own right. Laden with lasershots and cruddy delay, and plodding away at an incredibly low tempo, both cuts here show off Yorke’s ultra-high whistle of a voice, like a distant light from a lighthouse glimpsed on a hazy horizon.
