Remixes – KR3 21

Two years after his Berghain debut, Altinbas lands his first release on the associated label, Ostgut Ton. The five-tracker is built around obscurity but keeps a dubby, atmospheric warmth. The title track and ‘Charming the Cosmic Snake’ build tension in the keys with hypnotic synth lines that roll off the rhythm. ‘Entanglement’ and ‘Winter’ lean into soulful, flowing techno, deliberately stepping away from tool-focused club fare. Closer ‘Antichamber’ dials the pulse down to a sway for a nice dreamlike comedown. A big step up full of personality.
