Acid Avengers 35

Tripalium’s Acid Avengers series makes a welcome return with two exceptional artists taking over a side each. Cignol takes the A and adds to the momentum he’s been building on labels such as Furthur Electronix, Unknown To The Unknown and Nocta Numerica with two breath-taking moments. ‘E Minus’ goes for the heart in a really classical electro style; all acid, angular breaks and pads sent from heaven. ‘Lab 8’ follows a similar vein with a heady fusion of melancholy and hope (and yes, lots and lots of acid) Need something a little faster or darker? Flip for two sweaty sessions from another Acid Avengers debutant Vertical76… ‘Spirit’ rides on some breezy breaks that switch to a pounding 4×4 in a really subtle way while ‘Dark Nebula’ closes the EP with mournful, contemplative sign out. Stunning.
