Fresh from delivering killer contributions to the Seven label’s second self-titled compilation, Mohajer makes her bow on Punctuality. The Berlin-based Swede begins in bass-heavy party-starting form on ‘Intake’, where twisted, tech-house style acid lines and fast-talking rap samples rise above breathless beats and gargantuan organ bass. ‘I C U’ sees her continue to reference vintage rave workouts (complete with sweat-soaked stabs and booming sub-bass), while ‘You Wannabe’ joins the dots between breaks, acid, trance and psychedelic early progressive house. Finally, ‘Backseat’ sees her channel the spirit and hallucinatory intent of emotive and breathless formative trance records of the early 1990s.
