Diverting attention from the Russian composer of the same name, Vilnius DJ and producer Pletnev joins Chat Noir Hors for their latest adventure outside, adding a third edition to their new techno subseries. An unstoppable drive to serial 12″ glory has heard the producer lay on thick a weighty immortalisation of his music in wax, with posterior quantities rivalling Madame Tussauds despite this still qualifying as his early career, be these 12″s out through Physical Education, Space Lab, Burn Music or R.A.N.D. Muzik. Now the likes of ‘Mindset Parabola’, ‘Dark Matter Hot Tub’ and ‘Met Her In Quake III Arena’ all further Pletnev’s dour, quietly militant agenda in techno; we love it.
