The Motor City and Berlin have long been techno bedfellows and this new EP once again combines the best of both worlds as Detroit Techno Militia welcomes new member Eisbrenner. He drops three tunes rooted in the traditions of the Midwest but elevated with his own signature. ‘Weltenraum’ is a roaming, paranoid sound that keeps you locked in the moment with frictionless drums and synth loops designed to get the floor in raptures. ‘Medax’ has a more ragged, acidic lead and jacking drums the closer ‘Tribe’ lifts its head out of the darkness with more light motifs and warm machine soul that is imbued with cautious optimism. Classy stuff.
