Adam Berwick – riding the Sheffield-by-way-of-Bristol electro, techno and more train – returns to Private Parts for a strange new one indeed. After his recent ‘Powerflip’ EP for Cyphon comes this watery, acid-vat squelcher, flecked with weird imagery, from the blowfish on the front cover to names like ‘Queen Of The Pineapples’ and ‘Doggies’. Exploratory synthesis and whispery vocal design is the order of the day, each lead line sounding like the wordless utterances we ourselves might come out with having taken it too far on a slightly wayward Saturday night.
